This TMNT cartoon opening-credits stop-motion remake is one of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen.
So, this exists.
I’m sort of terrified at how talented David Finch is, but also at how scared I now am of Strawberry Shortcake riding My Little Pony. If Leonardo is a casualty in this war, what chance do the rest of us stand?

when i was a 10 year old kid, i remember reading the movie adaptation book and being dissappointed when i realized this scene was never in the movie. Now that i’ve seen it, i’m more dissappointed that my childhood imagination was pretty spot on to seasoned film makers. *sigh* anyways…
Now it’s popped up on a German DVD release. the quality is terrible, but the commentary afterward is sorta funny in its uber-nerdiness.

Miguel is a huge fan of the original Eastman/Laird TMNT black & white comic, which this is a bit of a departure from but it’s super fun. Originally when the series went to color the Turtles all had red masks.
