A smattering of nerdery. Curated by Andrew, Miguel, Davis, Ian, and Michael.

We hope your holidays have been splendid and that Santa Cox left some goodies under your tree. I got a Doctor Who shirt, poster and pin, as well as some socks. And some gift cards. So, score.
Thanks much to anyone who reblogged a post during our little giveaway. We wanted to give something back to the community of folks who read our blog, and hopefully connect a little more on a personal, “here, have some of our stuff” level.
That said, congrats to Joe Hunter for winning the Day 12 package. We’re internetfriends and it’s always fun when the old random number generator lands on a buddy. For those of you who didn’t win, stay tuned as I’m sure we’ll keep this giveaway thing here and there from now on.
Anyway, I’m about to watch the Doctor Who Christmas special and then stare at the yule log whilst I sip the rest of this bottle of malbec. Have a good one, kids.

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 12
Sorry this is so late, kids. It’s Boss-mas eve, in Hollis Queens! Or, um, on the internets. Thanks to everyone who reblogged our little contest. To be honest it was all Davis’ idea. He’s full of good ones.
This nerdblog is ran mainly by Miguel, Davis, and me (Andrew). Ian and Michael post when they can. We also have a webcomic that’s been more sparse than we like it to be, but we’re all “adults” with “real jobs” (whatever that means) so sometimes it takes a back burner. We’re planning on bringing it back. This blog is our chance to indulge a bit in the subjects our main tumblr readers might not suffer, but you all do so well. Thanks for reading and clicking those buttons in the top right of the browser.
The authors of this blog literally met through an online facial hair growing and self-portrait contest website. True story. Look us up. So we fully understand the power of the internets. And that’s why we did this contest, to give back to this thing we’ve come to enjoy so much not only for entertainment, but as a venue to meet cool people. We’ve made more friends via this blog, and we’d love to get to know even more of you. Joe Hunter’s going to shit a brick when I show up at his doorstep some morning.
We hope your year’s been amazing. We hope that 2012 is even better. I just got a 360 so I’ll prob start posting video game stuffs along with Davis, and not just comic shit all the time (nobody wants to hear my rants about how nobody loves Deathstroke and everyone loves Deadpool (it’s the gray hair, you age-ist younglings)… OR MAYBE YOU DO)
A reblog of this post gets you:
Autobiographix (Wagner, Sakai, Eisner, Aragones, Chadwick)
Iron Man: Enter The Mandarin (Eric Canete arts!)
Scientific Progress Goes Boink
Tokidoki Rogue charm
Make sure we can /ask you for your info. Otherwise you won’t win.
And a congrats to Amanda for winning the Batman/Bane/Azrael TPBs yesterday. She’s going to pull an all-knighter reading it (see what I did there?).
Happy Boss-mas, everyone.

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 11
It’s almost Boss-mas morning, which means Miguel, Davis and I will be waking up rife with rum eggnog hangovers.
I bring you tidings of massively-large Batman trade paperbacks. The Knightsaga. So if you don’t know where Bane came into the DC storyline, here’s your chance to read up before this summer’s The Dark Knight Rises.
A reblog of this post gets you:
Batman: Knightfall Part One - Broken Bat
Batman: Knightfall Part Two - Who Rules The Knight
Batman: Knightfall Part Three - Knightsend
That’s almost 900 pages of Batman-ey, Venom-roided, Azrael-ish goodness.
Make sure we can /ask you for your info. Otherwise you won’t win.
And a moderately large heyo to Allie who took the Deus Ex prize in yesterday’s giveaway. Time to practice your forearm sword skills.

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 10
We’re nearing the end of Boss-mas, and the prizes are going to start getting serious.
Today, we’re being visited by the Ghost of Boss-mas Distant Future, who’s got genetically implanted sunglasses and swords that come out of his arms. Today’s giveaway is full of Deus Ex-related goodness.
A reblog of this post gets you:
All 6 issues of Deus Ex: Human Revolution by Robbie Morrison, Trevor Hairsine and Sergio Sandoval.
A copy of the original Deus Ex on CD-ROM. This Mac version requires Quicktime 4.0 and “a 3D accelerator card.” Hope you’ve got a sweet rig able to handle this baby.
Make sure we can /ask you for your info, because we’d hate to have to send a cybernetically augmented soldier after you to get your mailing address.
Congrats to hustontodd, who won Hellboys and Vaders and Carls (and more), oh my. Only two more days of Boss-mas left, so get to rebloggin’ if you want free stuff!

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 8
Keeping with Davis’ depresso theme, Day 8’s giveaway is comprised of a sad yet seminal issue in comics history, and a really cool Bat-family one-shot drawn by Toby Cypress (Blue Estate, Rodd Racer) where Batman is poisoned and Dick has to race to save his life. Toby’s style is really ink-heavy (think Mignola, Sook, Matthew Dow Smith)
A reblog of this post gets you in the running for:
Superman Vol 2 #75 (1993) -  Sealed, with trading cards, poster, obituary, and mourning armband
Batman/Nightwing: Bloodborne (this satisfies my slight “indie” theme)
Make sure you have /ask turned on so we can let you know you’ve won and also get your shipping info.
Big ups to Paul for winning the Day 7 giveaway. Davis will have Infinity Gauntlet #1 out to you faster than Thor caught “Warrior Madness” (i.e.: Asgard Syphilis)

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 7
Nothing puts me in the mood for holiday cheer and merriment than reading about the destruction of half of all sentient life in the universe, all because of some guy trying to impress a girl.
Because of that, day 7 of Boss-mas has one winner getting an original copy of The Infinity Gauntlet #1.
Reblog this post to win, and make sure you have /ask turned on so we can let you know and get your address and stuff. It’s not a very merry Boss-mas if you win and don’t get a prize.
Congrats to shlabam yesterday, who won a ton of ridiculous awesomeness from Miguel.

12 Days of Boss-mas: Day 5
MORE FREE STUFF
Andrew here again, back with the 5th day of Boss-mas, a day where Davis, Miguel and I traditionally play AD&D via Facetime. Add to that a drinking game for every time Davis’ DMing leads to “a cute cat approaches out of the darkness”, and we’re all quite knackered at an early hour. It is Boss-mas, after all.
For today’s prize, I’ve got some good indie-ish stuffs for you:
A reblog of this post will enter you to win the following:
Andi Watson’s Samurai Jam GN (Complete with extras!)
Doctor Octopus Tokidoki charm
Umbrella Academy button
Remember to have the /ask option on your blog so a winner can be you.
Congrats to raveygaga for taking home the Humble Indie Bundle. Clear some space on your calendar. You’ve got games to play.

MORE FREE STUFF
We hope you have a lot of time set aside for your Boss-mas break, because one of you is about to have an overload of awesome indie gaming to do.
For today’s prize, we’re buying one of you a Humble Indie Bundle! We’ll even be buddies and throw in more than the average to win you two extra games.
They’ve already raised over $1 mil for charity, but considering they’ve wrangled together some of the biggest indie games in the past few months for this one, it’s no surprise.
A reblog of this post will enter you to win the following:
Jamestown
Bit.Trip Runner
Super Meat Boy
Shank
Nightsky HD
Cave Story+
Gratuitous Space Battles
Remember to have the /ask option on your blog so a winner can be you.
Congrats to our old internetfriend Eric yesterday, whose reblog was picked by our random number generator. Eric gets to win all of Miguel’s Pez dispensaries and a teeny tiny AMC Delorean. If he ever lives with Rick Moranis and a baseball crashes through the window, he’ll be able to travel through time.
