Dear BBC,

This early Steven Universe poster has been released! Thanks so much for the outpouring of support!

This poster was pencilled by me, inked by Phil Rynda and colored by Ian Worrel, and features props designed by Angie Wang!

Rebecca is an award-winning storyboard artist and writer for Adventure Time, for which she’s also written the lion’s share of music (“My Best Friends in the World”, “Bacon Pancakes”, among many others).

Her new show Steven Universe will be on Cartoon Network starting sometime this year. It’s a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of Steven, the youngest member of a team of magical Guardians of the Universe.

And we’re pretty stoked about it.

Seeing his unflinching, overly sour lemony Candy Kingdom countenance and the parallels it draws made it way too difficult for our very own Miguel not to riff on, so here we are.
